Overview

Reliable, fun, and experienced PA needed to support a vibrant 20-year-old young man living in Eccles RL001. We are looking for two reliable, fun, and experienced Personal Assistants (PAs) to support a vibrant 20-year-old young man living in Eccles.

Client information

Client is non-verbal and has diagnoses of Autism, Pica, sensory processing difficulties, and displays extremely challenging behaviours. He has no awareness of danger, so vigilance and calm under pressure are essential.

Role type

Part Time • Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Supporting at home and out in the community
  • Assisting with personal care (Client is incontinent)
  • Preparing food and drink as needed
  • Engaging in fun activities like baking, arts and crafts, and sensory play
  • Taking Client on exciting day trips to places like Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and nature walks
  • Ensuring safety and providing emotional and physical support
Experience and qualities
  • Experienced: Minimum 2 years' experience working with people with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Energetic and fun-loving: Must enjoy theme parks, rollercoasters, and busy days out!
  • Confident with personal care
  • Driver with access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Comfortable working in a home with a large, friendly dog
Specific requirements
  • Experienced: Minimum 2 years' experience working with people with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Energetic and fun-loving: Must enjoy theme parks, rollercoasters, and busy days out!
  • Confident with personal care
  • Patient, resilient, and understanding
  • Good sense of humour and creativity
