The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in our operations by ensuring vital machinery remains operational at all times. As an RME Technician, your responsibilities include maintaining a variety of equipment and workspaces while adhering to Health and Safety standards. Your efforts help ensure colleague safety, minimize machine downtime, and improve equipment availability and quality.
Based on-site, RME Technicians respond swiftly to machinery issues, performing planned preventative maintenance to ensure safety and functionality. They respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose issues, implement solutions, and suggest long-term improvements. Collaboration with senior colleagues and external contractors is essential. The role involves working various shifts to provide 24/7 site support, enabling Amazon's rapid delivery commitments.
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages 'last mile' delivery in partnership with third-party providers, focusing on efficient product dispatch and innovative delivery solutions like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
