Fueled by bold ambition:
Play your part in getting us on the grid.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the F1 car by managing and resolving reliability issues. This role involves monitoring and progressing issues, analysing data, and producing reports to track reliability performance. The Reliability Engineer acts as a crucial link between the track and the factory during events, providing support in the absence of the Reliability Manager. Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, mechanics, and production teams are essential to address and resolve issues. Additionally, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of engineering procedures to enhance reliability processes, ensuring the car performs optimally throughout the season.

What you will be doing:

  • Progress reliability issue resolution/progression.
  • Flag any issues which are not progressing to schedule.
  • Produce weekly/monthly/annual metrics in collaboration with the reliability manager.
  • Review event issues live and act as a link from the track to the factory in the absence of the Reliability Manager.
  • Support post-event issue review meetings.
  • Compile issues list actions.
  • Contribute to reliability reviews across the season.
  • Update issues database, closing issues as required.
  • Attend events as required.
  • Resolve low to medium severity issues if/when/as required (design changes, update drawings, etc.).
  • Contribute to the definition and documentation of internal engineering procedures.
  • Provide possible ‘Operations Room’ support across events to support the Reliability Manager at the track.

Requirements

Driven by high performance:
What do you need to bring to the team?

Attributes

  • Understanding of the current F1 car structure/high-level race car engineering.
  • Understanding of engineering production processes and timescales.
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers, mechanics, and production teams. Confident in challenging existing perceptions.
  • Open-minded, able to consider novel solutions, and differentiate between short, medium, and long-term solutions to issues. Confident in front of potentially difficult discussions regarding issues.
  • Flexible, with the ability to adapt to varying workloads, deadlines, and working hours, potentially at short notice.

Skills & Experience

  • Able to manage a varied workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (most valued), and PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with CAD, preferably CATIA/3DX.
  • Qualified to engineering degree level preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in high-level motorsport or aerospace engineering.
  • A broad design background preferred over a specialized one.
  • Suitable for someone with a design office background wanting to develop a more varied workload and a desire to be involved in multiple areas of the car/team.

A team like no other.
