A proactive and solutions-focused Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team in Liverpool. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead reliability-centred initiatives across our site, driving improvements in equipment performance, maintenance strategies, and operational efficiency. Your expertise will directly support our asset management programme ensuring our critical plant and equipment operate at peak performance.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead reliability-centred maintenance activities across the Liverpool site.
  • Drive improvements in equipment performance, availability, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering SMEs and planners to define maintenance and calibration requirements for new equipment.
  • Own and implement failure mode and equipment criticality assessments (FMECA), maintenance plans, and spares strategies.
  • Champion the PACE programme, refining existing maintenance plans to align with best practices.
  • Develop and deliver reliability procedures and training across departments.
  • Generate and report on KPIs to demonstrate improvements in equipment reliability and performance.
  • Support shutdown planning, vendor contract reviews, and QMS-related activities.
  • Apply condition-based monitoring techniques and standardised maintenance methods to optimise plant performance.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in reliability-centred maintenance or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience with HVAC, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, compressors, and purified water systems.
  • Strong background in condition-based monitoring and cleanroom/GMP environments.
  • Proven experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical setting, ideally under MHRA/FDA regulations.
  • Skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams and adapting communication styles to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and asset management tools.
  • Time-served engineer in any discipline.
  • Experience as a CMMS system administrator.
