What will you be doing as a Reliability Engineer at Avara?

As aReliabilityEngineeryou’ll haveEngineering responsibility for an area within the operational environment as the Reliability Engineer. Monitoring equipment downtime, analysing trends to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives and projects

What will your key responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer include?

  • Reliability/Asset Care Manager, responsible for all equipment in an area
  • Maintain a high level of reliability and availability of factory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime
  • Responsible for the gathering and analysis of equipment efficiency and downtime in order to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Raising of Planned Maintenance or reactive maintenancejobs for respective area
  • Review of all completed job sheets in respective area
  • Production of downtime data for weekly meetings
  • Lead and support installation and capital projects
  • Communicate and collaborate with other colleagues, suppliers and contractors
  • Understanding of engineering and operational KPI’s and be able to identify areas for improvement
  • Interact with on-shift engineers and other site engineering teams to resolve challenging equipment problems
  • Support the Site Principal Engineer and engineering peers to develop robust weekly and monthly maintenance plans that improve asset availability and equipment performance
  • Coordinate OEM engineer service visits with production and planning teams and scheduling further work that arises from those inspections
  • Oversee equipment calibrations and complete and review PUWER assessments to maintain equipment compliance

What you’ll need to be successful:

Essential

  • Engineering Qualification above L3 (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, HND/HNC or L3 engineering qualification may be considered dependent on experience)
  • Experience gained from an Engineering Maintenance environment
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Good IT ability

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CMMS system (Mainsaver/Spidex)
  • CAD experience
  • Experience in managing projects
  • On site contractor management
