Job summary

bet365, a world-leading online gambling company, is seeking a Release Platform Engineer to build automated guardrails for global development pipelines, ensuring safe, fast, and auditable deployments across our platforms.

You will work on source-code-management estates (GitLab, Sourcegraph), use Python, Go, React, and TypeScript, create in-house apps, dashboards, and automated release engines, and contribute to AI-driven tooling; on-call and hybrid work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform roles.
• Proficiency with Python/Go/Bash
• Knowledge of GitLab, Artifactory, and CI/CD
• Linux and Windows admin skills
• Hands-on with AI-native engineering and prompt engineering
• Terraform for IaC
• Databases like PostgreSQL/AlloyDB
• Frontend work with React/TypeScript
• Observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk
• Security and compliance in SCM

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve release and compliance platforms built in Python and Go.
• Support automated release approvals and software-change auditing.
• Administer the source-code-management tooling estate and supporting services.
• Develop and maintain UIs using React and TypeScript.
• Ensure application availability and resolve platform issues.
• Write automation and integrations to reduce manual toil.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform; containerize with Docker on Kubernetes (GKE) on GCP.
• Participate in on-call as escalation point.
• Build dashboards and alerts for pipeline reliability.
• Coach and mentor across the engineering function
