Contract: Fixed Term until 31 March 2026, working 35 hours per week. Arts Council England recognises the benefit of flexible working and welcomes applications from individuals requiring flexibility.
Salary: £39,398 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: London. The role is based at the London office with a hybrid working model, supporting remote work with regular onsite days, typically 1-2 days a week.

We are seeking a Relationship Manager, Libraries, to join our London team, which includes teams for Combined Arts, Dance, Literature, and Libraries. Arts Council England oversees libraries in England, focusing on public libraries within wider local and national services.
This role involves building strong, lasting relationships with library services and funded organisations, monitoring their performance, funding agreements, and cultural activities to identify investment needs. You will support libraries in contributing to priority areas and work with colleagues to integrate London's libraries into our funding streams.
You will manage relationships with National Portfolio Organisations related to libraries and specific projects funded by strategic funds. You will lead London's libraries sector relationships and collaborate with national library stakeholders such as CILIP and the British Library, attending regional meetings like London Libraries meetings. You will report to the Senior Relationship Manager overseeing Strategic Partnerships and Priority Places.
You should have specific knowledge of the libraries sector and a good understanding of England’s cultural sector, including current challenges and opportunities. Excellent collaboration, influencing, and advocacy skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Significant experience working within or engaging with library services, arts, and cultural organisations is required. A good understanding of organisational dynamics, including business planning, financial reporting, performance management, and governance, is necessary. You should be self-reliant, enjoy travel and networking, and experience working with local authorities and strategic partners is advantageous.
