Relationship Director to join a dynamic challenger bank with ambitious balance sheet growth targets. We are seeking a highly capable individual with a robust network of Key Business Influencers (KBIs) and the ability to operate effectively in the £10 million to £50 million lending space. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a client-centric approach, and the enthusiasm to make an immediate impact.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Understand the bank's products and services, proactively identify and action sales opportunities to meet business objectives.
2. Meet growth, performance, and income targets through the proactive development of new business from professional networks.
3. Assess, evaluate, prepare, and submit loan applications, providing commentary and analysis to aid decision-making.
4. Manage transactions from credit assessment to completion alongside the Transaction Execution Manager.
5. Ensure effective post-drawdown handover to colleagues responsible for ongoing connection management.
6. Maintain high-quality service delivery to customers.
7. Build and maintain relationships with key business partners to maximize growth potential.
8. Develop knowledge of relevant markets and customers to anticipate and meet their needs.
9. Monitor market developments and competitor activity; recommend and implement appropriate actions.
10. Support credit portfolio monitoring and take necessary actions to minimize risk and ensure quality management.
11. Review credit applications in accordance with policy and take measures to minimize risks.
12. Ensure client compliance with AML policies and procedures, including KYC requirements and periodic reviews.
13. Manage management information and report appropriately.
14. Contribute to bank policy development, including lending guidelines, product development, and risk management.
15. Support the banking strategy's design and implementation, ensuring growth, income targets, and operational and regulatory risk standards are met.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mid-market lending, with a proven background in structured finance and investment lending. Demonstrated network of contacts, introducers, and KBIs in the £10 million+ lending space. Strong credit analysis skills; experience across various asset classes is advantageous.
