Job summary

Oliver James are recruiting on behalf of a UK based Life Insurer for multiple day-rate contractors to support a large-scale reinsurance project. The role focuses on building excel-based cashflow models from defined benefit specifications, ensuring policies reflect original terms.

Start dates are Q4 and January 2026, with UK-based remote/hybrid working. You must live and pay tax in the UK and hold FIA or equivalent, plus strong DB pensions knowledge and reinsurance reconciliation experience.

Qualifications

• FIA (or equivalent) qualification; part-qualified considered with ample industry experience.
• Strong understanding of defined benefit pension schemes.
• Excel cashflow modelling (premiums, claims, lump sums, collateral).
• Reinsurance reconciliation experience.
• Prior similar role experience advantageous.
