Job summary

Oliver James is partnered with a leading Life Insurer to recruit an experienced Python developer for end-to-end automation tool development in the UK. This is a fixed-term contract with a start date in January and a 12-month duration, based in the UK with tax/residency requirements.

The role involves designing, developing, testing and delivering automation solutions, managing projects from implementation to BAU, and applying IFRS17/SII knowledge.

Qualifications

• FIA or equivalent or part-qualified Actuary.
• Experience with Python development in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of IFRS17/SII.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end automation tools in Python.
• Design and develop technical solutions from implementation through BAU.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver automated processes and tooling.

Oliver James are partnered with a leading Life Insurer who require the support of an experienced Python developer to assist in developing end to end automation tools.

This is a UK based contract; you must live and pay tax in the UK to be considered.

• Assignment: Fixed term contract - 12 months
• Start: some flexibility, early January start dates can be considered
• Duration: 12 months

Role: Developing end to end automation tools in Python. You will be designing and developing technical solutions, managing from implementation through to BAU.

Required experience:

• FIA (or equivalent or part qualified Actuary
• Python/ software development including designing, developing and testing - this must be workplace experience rather than studies/ courses
• Good knowledge of IFRS17/SII
