Job description

Oliver James are currently recruiting for a Reinsurance Manager with one of our international insurance clients in London.

For this role you must be able to speak fluent Spanish and have reinsurance knowledge. Due to the nature of the role both speaking Spanish and the reinsurance knowledge is required.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Reinsurance knowledge- Essential.
  • Able to speak and write in Spanish - Essential.
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA with proven post qualification experience) - Desirable.
  • People management or supervisory experience- Essential.
  • Confidence in dealing with colleagues from different functions, geographic locations and levels of seniority.

The successful candidate will have a focus on the accounting side of reinsurance from start to finish:

  • Insuring the purchases are properly accounted for in the ledger (Credits and Debits).
  • Knowledge of reinsurance contracts (Loss Contracts and Faculty Contracts).
  • Oversee all entries into the reinsurance accounting system (Excel Pro).
  • Ensuring output from the system is correctly inputted into the general ledger and all calculations are completed correctly.
  • Oversee all of the reporting.
