Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Reinsurance Support Analyst in London to assist the Reinsurance team with data analytics on claims trends across categories, vessel types and geographies. You will support the Head of Reinsurance and COO with premium declarations, reconciliations and recoveries, and ensure timely documentation and communications.

The role requires advanced Excel skills, strong communication, and the ability to work across teams in a dynamic insurance environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide reinsurance service and support to the Reinsurance team.
• Assist the Head of Reinsurance and Chief Underwriting Officer with data analytics on claims trends across claim categories, vessel types, and geographical locations.
• Assist with claims and premium declarations to reinsurers, premium payments, and claim recoveries.
• Assist with Pool claims declarations.
• Promptly and correctly file assigned correspondence and documentation.
• Support Reinsurance, Claims, and Underwriting teams as required.
• Compose accurate and professional business correspondence.
• Respond promptly and courteously to telephone enquiries.
• Contribute to the continuous development of company procedures and systems.
• Enter pool claims data and issue recovery statements using the Group’s Data Collection Portal.
• Produce and use reconciliation reports from Business Objects.
• Review claim recovery amounts and invoicing where necessary.
• Perform Ledger Keeper duties, including payments to other Clubs/Reinsurance Brokers and allocation of incoming cash.
• Maintain monthly statements of account and liaise with P&I Clubs/Reinsurance Brokers regarding payment amounts.
• Attend International Group meetings concerning enhancements to the Group’s Data Collection Portal.
• Use Business Objects, Coda, and SSM Reinsurance, Underwriting, and Claims systems.
