A leading healthcare provider in Camden Town is seeking a dynamic rehabilitation support worker to join their Adult Community Rehabilitation Team. This role involves working closely with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation for clients with long-term conditions. Candidates should have rehabilitation experience and an understanding of therapy assessments. The position offers the opportunity for professional development and involvement in service improvement projects.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward thinking rehabilitation support worker to work in the Adult Community Rehabilitation Team. You will work closely with predominantly physiotherapists and occupational therapists providing rehabilitation to clients in the community. The clients you will work with are living with neurological or physical long term conditions and many are housebound. The Adult Community Rehab Team is a large forward thinking service that provides inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to clients 18+. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists (including palliative care), Speech & Language Therapists, Dietitians, Clinical & Neuropsychology, Rehabilitation Support Workers & Administrators. Rehab experience and/or possessing a trusted assessor qualification is beneficial as you will undertake assessment for basic therapy and rehab equipment such as mobility aids and grab rails. The service is essentially community based and rehabilitation programmes are goal-directed often working flexibly as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
This post will give you the opportunity to work alongside the therapists, carrying out a range of different treatment interventions as well as some assessment and administration duties. An understanding of the field of rehabilitation would be advantageous. This post would suit an individual who is interested and motivated in developing their skills in community based rehabilitation. The client group is very diverse, clinically, economically and culturally.
