Join the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC), the UK's largest and longest-established spinal cord injury rehabilitation centre. Providing specialist rehabilitation services for adults across the South East and children and young people from across the UK, NSIC is recognised internationally for its expertise in spinal cord injury care and rehabilitation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey by helping to ensure rehabilitation pathways are delivered consistently, effectively and in line with best practice. Working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, you will support pathway compliance, coordinate rehabilitation processes, monitor progress and contribute to service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experience.
As part of an internationally renowned specialist service, you will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous improvement and professional development. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about making a real difference to patient care while supporting the delivery of specialist rehabilitation services.
The Rehabilitation Co-ordinator will support the delivery of the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) Rehabilitation Pathway by providing administrative, organisational and monitoring support to multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) involved in patient rehabilitation.
The post holder will support the implementation and embedding of the NSIC Rehabilitation Guidelines, helping to promote consistency, standardisation and compliance across rehabilitation services. The role will provide structure and oversight of agreed rehabilitation processes through the maintenance of pathway tracking systems, monitoring completion of rehabilitation requirements and supporting MDTs to adhere to agreed pathway standards.
Working closely with clinicians, therapists, nurses, psychologists, case managers and operational teams, the post holder will monitor pathway activities, maintain accurate records, provide timely reporting and elevate delays, omissions or barriers that may impact the delivery of rehabilitation pathway requirements.
The post holder will support the collection of information required for service monitoring, audit and performance reporting and will contribute to continuous improvement of rehabilitation pathway processes.
The role does not include responsibility for clinical assessment, rehabilitation planning, goal setting or clinical decision-making, which remain the responsibility of the multidisciplinary clinical team.
