Circle Health Group is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Birmingham.

The role involves working 37.5 hours weekly within the Rehabilitation department, supporting mobility and rehab programmes across nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in a Sport Related subject and relevant MSK rehab experience.
• OR Level 2/3 gym/instructor or Level 3 exercise referral with group-delivery experience.
• OR Experience in Physiotherapy team or fitness industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy to deliver tailored rehab programmes.
• Assist with mobility and positioning, including hoists and mobility aids.
• Support patient engagement in activities promoting cognitive, physical, social and emotional recovery.
• Act as key worker for assigned patients, advocating for needs and ensuring care plans are followed.
• Maintain a safe, clean therapeutic environment; contribute to housekeeping and equipment checks.
• Pursue learning through supervision, training and appraisal processes.

Salary: Up to £25,044.85 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Rehabilitation Assistant to join their team of staff in the Rehabilitation department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Work collaboratively with nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy teams to deliver rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assist with mobility and positioning, including the safe use of hoists and mobility aids.
• Help patients engage in purposeful activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional recovery.
• Act as a key worker for assigned patients, advocating for their needs and ensuring consistent delivery of care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-prepared therapeutic environment by contributing to housekeeping and equipment checks.
• Take responsibility for your own learning through active participation in supervision, training, and appraisal processes.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Diploma/Degree in a Sport Related subject and relevant experience working in a MSK Rehabilitation setting.
• OR
• Level 2/3 gym/instructor/personal trainer or level 3 exercise referral/level 4 qualification/equivalent with experience delivering groups sessions.
• OR
• Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team or within the fitness industry.
• At least 150 hours previous experience of working with specialist populations, for example exercise referral, cardiac, back care, falls etc.
• Full UK driving license.
