Job summary

Anstey Ward at Alton Community Hospital, part of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to deliver compassionate, person-centred care and actively participate in rehabilitation planning with the MDT.

You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care for patients, supporting recovery while contributing to service improvement. The role includes leadership in the absence of the Band 6 Sister and a rotating shift pattern across days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in rehabilitation nursing or ward care is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care within the ward.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families and GPs to support rehabilitation goals.
• Lead and coordinate the ward in the absence of the Band 6 Sister.
