Our client has a fantastic Occupational Therapist Senior Band 6 vacancy in Surrey. This client provides high-quality, consultant-led, and patient-focused adult and paediatric rehabilitation services for those diagnosed with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Job Role:
  1. Undertake specialized uni-professional and multi-professional assessments to develop and implement treatment plans for clients with complex pathologies, including neurological, musculoskeletal, age-related disorders, learning disabilities, and mental health diagnoses.
  2. Gain valid, informed consent for assessments and interventions, sharing information in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
  3. Perform specialist assessments and re-assessments using evidence-based outcome measures, following RCOT, SSOAP, BSRM, NICE, and RCP guidelines.
  4. Develop and provide individual occupational therapy treatments using advanced clinical reasoning, analysis, and client-centered goal setting.
  5. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity towards clients with complex emotional and physical conditions.
  6. Organize and prioritize caseloads, communicate with supervisors, and manage service needs effectively.
  7. Prescribe equipment to maximize client independence and travel to clients' homes with necessary assessment and treatment equipment.
  8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive services.
  9. Work independently within lone working policies during home visits.
  10. Identify clients needing external support and contribute to team discussions and service development.
  11. Participate in team meetings, manage work patterns, and develop educational materials and social media content.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/degree in occupational therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Up-to-date CPD portfolio and skills in neurological and complex adult conditions
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in relevant clinical areas
  • Knowledge of outcome measures, clinical guidelines, and complex medical conditions
  • Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and teamworking skills
