Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Regulatory Systems & Data Specialist to help drive regulatory data excellence across product stewardship. You will operate and continually improve regulatory data systems, collaborating with global teams to ensure accurate data flows and compliant outputs.

The role requires strong analytical and IT/data management skills, a scientific degree, and excellent communication to explain regulatory requirements to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve Product Stewardship systems (WERCS Studio) for regulatory data management.
• Investigate and resolve data integrity and flow issues across source systems.
• Apply chemical knowledge to validate regulatory, hazard, and product data.
• Collaborate with master data owners to ensure accurate data across systems.
• Interface with JMIT and IT teams to support integration and issue resolution.
• Engage with WERCS vendor (UL) for issue investigation and best-practice adoption.
• Develop understanding of regulatory needs and translate to data requirements.

You’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.**The role:**As a Regulatory Systems & Data Specialist, you will help drive our goals by:* Operating and continuously improving Product Stewardship systems, including WERCS Studio, ensuring reliable and effective use for regulatory data management* Investigating and resolving data integrity and data flow issues, working across source systems, integrations, and WERCS outputs* Applying chemical understanding to validate and interpret regulatory, hazard, and product data (e.g. safety data sheet inputs, classifications)* Collaborating with master data owners to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent data across systems* Acting as the primary interface with JMIT and IT teams to support system integration, issue resolution, and improvements* Engaging with the WERCS vendor (UL) or other to support issue investigation, system optimisation, and adoption of best practices* Building and maintaining an understanding of the regulatory needs of the business and its markets and how this is broken down into regulatory data requirements**Key skills that will help you succeed in this role****:*** Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly* Strong IT and data management skills (e.g. database handling, system configuration, or data analysis)* Scientific degree or equivalent (e.g. chemistry, biochemical sciences, environmental sciences etc.)* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and explainregulatory requirements clearly* Able to prioritise workload and meet service delivery expectationsEven if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!**What we offer:**We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
