Job description

Regulatory Solicitor / Barrister (Police Team), 2+ Years PQE, Remote work / Brighton - We are currently seeking talented lawyers to join a National Police Team, where you will play a crucial role in advising, preparing, and presenting a variety of civil protective orders in the Magistrates' Court. JOB REF:9221.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, preparing compelling cases, and advocating in court to ensure the safety of individuals and communities.
  2. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and impactful range of cases, including Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Sexual Risk Orders and Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions.
  3. Work closely with law enforcement officers and other professionals in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  4. Ensure that all legal processes comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  5. Travel between courts will be required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  1. Qualified solicitor or barrister with significant experience in criminal or civil law.
  2. Proven expertise in handling protective orders or similar civil applications.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Strong advocacy skills.
