A well-regarded law firm in Wigan is seeking a talented Regulatory Solicitor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop or deepen your expertise in a specialist and evolving area of law, working with a diverse client base.
The Role:
You will represent a wide range of commercial and professional clients, providing legal support on:
- Regulatory investigations and professional misconduct proceedings
- Regulatory enforcement
- Appeals against decisions; and, criminal investigations and prosecutions
The department handles a mix of privately-funded and insurance-funded work, offering exposure to complex and varied cases.
You will work closely with clients from the outset, offering strategic legal advice and guiding them through investigations, proceedings, and appeals.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Ideally 3–5 years PQE, though applications outside this range will be considered
- Experience in regulatory law is preferred but not essential
- Applications welcomed from those with a criminal or commercial law background seeking to specialise
- Strong advocacy, drafting, and communication skills
- A confident, client-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
