Job Description:

Sterlings are currently partnered with an Investment Bank, based in the City of London, who are seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their team.

The Business Analyst will work on finance-specific projects across the Bank's Technology function, gathering requirements and compiling formal business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The Business Analyst will support Project Managers and business partners using SME and problem-solving skills, while building positive relationships with Technology, Change Managers, and Business stakeholders.

There is scope for progression and development, with projects spanning UK, EMEA, and internal initiatives.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Proven delivery track record with ownership of Finance and Data initiatives
• Confidence and gravitas to engage with senior managers
• Business analysis experience in banking or consultancy
• Understanding of project lifecycle, including proposal, scope, requirements, and testing documentation
• Experience with Regulatory Capital and Liquidity measures like LCR and SA-CC, and UK/EU regulations such as EMIR, MiFID, MiFIR, IFRS9, BCBS239
• Knowledge of financial reporting, month-end processes, P&L accounting, and financial adjustments
• Familiarity with Subledger and General Ledger applications
• Working knowledge of financial investment products like Vanilla IR & CR
