Job Description:

Sterlings is partnering with an Investment Bank based in the City of London, seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their team.

The Business Analyst will work on Finance-specific projects across the Bank's Technology division, gathering requirements and compiling formal business documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves supporting Project Managers and business partners with SME and problem-solving skills, and building collaborative relationships with Technology, Change Managers, and Business stakeholders.

This position offers significant opportunities for progression and development, working on UK, EMEA, and internal projects.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Proven delivery track record with ownership of Finance and Data initiatives
• Confidence and gravitas to engage with senior management
• Experience in business analysis within banking or consultancy
• Understanding of the project lifecycle, including proposal, scope, requirements, and testing documentation
• Knowledge of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity measures (LCR, SA-CC), UK and EMEA regulations (EMIR, MiFID, MiFIR, IFRS9, BCBS239)
• Familiarity with financial reporting, month-end, year-end P&L, and financial adjustments
• Understanding of Subledger and General Ledger applications
• Knowledge of financial investment products such as Vanilla IR & CR
