Job Description:

Sterlings are currently partnered with an Investment Bank, based in the City of London, who are seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their team.

The Business Analyst will work on finance-specific projects across the Bank's technology function, performing requirements gathering and compiling formal business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The Business Analyst will support Project Managers and business partners through SME and problem-solving skills, while building collaborative relationships with Technology, Change Managers, and Business stakeholders.

There is scope for progression and development, and this person will work on UK-specific projects as well as EMEA and internal ones.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Proven delivery track record and ability to lead finance and data initiatives
• Confidence and gravitas to interact with senior managers
• Business analysis experience in banking or consultancy
• Understanding of the project lifecycle, including proposal, scope, requirements, and testing documentation
• Experience with Regulatory Capital and Liquidity measures like LCR and SA-CC, UK and EMEA regulations such as EMIR, MiFID, MiFIR, IFRS9, BCBS239 (beneficial)
• Familiarity with financial reporting, month-end processes, P&L accounting, and financial adjustments
• Knowledge of Subledger and General Ledger applications is beneficial
• Working knowledge of financial investment products such as Vanilla IR & CR
