Job Description:

Sterlings is currently partnered with an Investment Bank, based in the City of London, seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their team.

The Business Analyst will work on finance-specific projects across the Bank's Technology division, gathering and documenting formal business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves supporting Project Managers and business partners with SME and problem-solving skills, while fostering positive relationships with Technology, Change Managers, and Business stakeholders.

This position offers significant scope for progression and development, with involvement in UK, EMEA, and internal projects.

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Proven delivery track record with ownership of Finance and Data initiatives
• Confidence and gravitas to engage with senior management
• Business analysis experience within banking or consultancy
• Understanding of the project lifecycle and experience in preparing proposals, scope, requirements, and testing documents
• Knowledge of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity measures such as LCR and SA-CC, UK and EMEA regulations like EMIR, MiFID, MiFIR, IFRS9, BCBS239 (beneficial)
• Familiarity with financial reporting, month-end and year-end processes, P&L accounting, and financial adjustments
• Understanding of Subledger and General Ledger applications (beneficial)
• Experience with financial investment products such as Vanilla IR & CR
