Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join the finance and regulatory reporting team on a fixed-term contract (3-6 months) in the Greater London area. The role focuses on regulatory reporting, data validation, automation, testing and reporting controls within a global financial services setting.

The position requires experience in regulatory reporting within banking or financial services, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, checking and validation of regulatory returns and data.
• Support COREP reporting and capital/liquidity areas as needed.
• Contribute to reporting automation and system improvements.
• Conduct UAT on regulatory reporting outputs.
• Investigate discrepancies between automated results and existing processes.
• Analyse and reconcile data using Excel and reporting systems.
• Investigate data-quality issues and reporting anomalies.
• Support development and testing of reporting controls.
• Assist with regulatory rules mapping, data prep and transformation.
• Support SCV, FSCS and PRA Depositor Protection activities when required.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology and project teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to improvements in regulatory reporting processes and automation.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join finance and regulatory reporting team within a leading foreign bank, providing a wide range of services to both private and corporate clients across the globe.

As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will support regulatory reporting, data validation, automation, testing and reporting controls across the Finance function.

This is an office-based fixed term contract role (3-6 months) offering salary range of £75,000 - £85,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the preparation, checking and validation of regulatory returns and supporting data.
• Supporting COREP reporting, including areas covering capital and liquidity where required.
• Contributing to regulatory reporting automation and system improvement initiatives.
• Carrying out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on regulatory reporting outputs.
• Comparing automated results with existing reporting processes and investigating discrepancies.
• Analysing and reconciling data using Excel and relevant reporting systems.
• Investigating data-quality issues, variances and reporting anomalies.
• Supporting the development and testing of reporting controls.
• Assisting with regulatory rules mapping, data preparation and transformation.
• Supporting Single Customer View (SCV), FSCS and PRA Depositor Protection activities when required.
• Working with Finance, Technology and project teams to resolve reporting and data-related issues.
• Contributing to improvements in regulatory reporting processes and automation.

The candidates from the following background will be considered:

Regulatory Reporting Analyst, Regulatory Reporting Specialist, Regulatory Reporting Officer, Regulatory Data Analyst, Regulatory Reporting Accountant, Regulatory Reporting Associate or similar

What we are looking for:

Essential:

• Some experience or understanding of regulatory reporting within banking or financial services.
• A professional background in banking finance, regulatory change, finance transformation, data analysis or a closely related field.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse, reconcile and validate data.
• Experience of investigating discrepancies and identifying data-quality issues.
• The ability to work effectively with Finance, Technology and project stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to learning and developing knowledge of regulatory reporting processes.

Desirable:

• SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to SCV, FSCS or Depositor Protection.
• Exposure to COREP, FINREP, liquidity or other regulatory returns
• Experience of UAT, testing, data validation, reporting automation or system enhancements.
• Familiarity with RegData or BEEDS would be useful, with training available where required.
• An accounting qualification, or progress towards one.
