About your new role

The Regulatory Department is one of the largest in the country and is recognized by clients and other lawyers as one of the best. We advise clients across all sectors including health, public sector, corporations, and individuals.

We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our National Police team. We are specifically looking for paralegals to advise and prepare civil protective orders for the Magistrates’ Court, including Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Sexual Risk Orders, Anti-Social Behaviour injunctions, and closure orders.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil protective orders
• Organize Case Manager diary and action lists
• Draft various documents including court applications
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
• Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

This list is not exhaustive; you will be expected to perform other duties within the wider remit of the role.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience as a paralegal in regulatory or police law and a genuine interest in the area of work. As the role is varied, we seek a flexible approach and adaptability. You should also have/be:
