Job summary

Science Recruitment UK is partnering with an East Yorkshire manufacturer to recruit a Technical and Regulatory Associate. The role blends regulatory compliance duties with hands-on lab work and commercial support.

You will ensure regulatory data accuracy, update MSDS/TDS, and help keep packaging aligned with CE marking requirements. A science degree and strong communication are essential, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

Hours of work

Monday to Friday 35 hours per week, early finish on a Friday (yay long weekend!)

NB - The role will be solely site based

Duration

Permanent.

Salary

up to £32,000 (depending upon your skills and experience)

You will be involved in:

• Collating and updating regulatory information such as material and technical data sheets (MSDS and TDS).
• Checking and updating packaging information and other marketing materials in line with current chemical regulatory requirements (CE Markings).
• Ensuring that the business and products are up to date with current legislation (REACH, CLP, ECHA etc).
• Acting as point of contact for internal queries and answering customer enquiries (over the phone and via email).
• When required, support customers with application testing in the lab, providing technical information and advice.

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:

• Science based qualification, ideally to degree level or above.
• Knowledge of chemical REACH regulations or a passion for chemical regulatory affairs. (CE marking and MSDS /TDS experience would be a distinct advantage).
• Previous experience working in a commercial based laboratory (work based placement or summer intern), in formulation or R&D.
• Attention to detail and the ability to use computer based programs to research information.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

NB - this role would suit a Science graduate with commercial lab experience with a passion to pursue a career in chemical regulatory affairs.
