Job Description:

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Associate or Partner to join our team dealing mainly with Regulatory matters.

Leading our well-regarded offering, you will support our solicitors in providing top-tier advice on a range of Regulatory matters. We are looking for an individual with a confirmed commercial following to broaden our appeal to commercial clients. We have a large and successful litigation team and we are keen to complement that and support our colleagues acting for commercial clients across the following sectors in non-contentious and contentious regulatory and advisory work:

• Retail and leisure;

Our Commercial and Private Client Litigation team is described as ‘a high-quality firm and a really top-level team’ in Chambers UK and our Crime team are ranked Band 1 for Chambers UK 2024 and Tier 2 for Legal 500 2024. The team is led by Esther Woolford.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

Advising commercial clients in relation to a range of regulatory matters and building a strong following for the firm. You will be developing an existing litigation team and enhancing their skills and practices.

We work with clients on a wide range of legal issues, and you will manage a team with a varied workload, so experience in any of the following areas will be advantageous:

• Health, Safety and Environment;
• Product compliance and labelling;
• ESG;
• Modern Slavery;
• Food Hygiene;
• Care home regulation and compliance;
• Traffic Commissioner Public Inquiries;
• Inquests and Inquiries.
