Job summary

• Experience translating organisational strategy into service priorities and plans.
• Proven ability to develop governance, assurance and risk management frameworks.
• Track record in regulatory readiness and inspection support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housing Regulation and Governance Service and set strategic direction for planning, governance, regulation, risk and service improvement across Housing.
• Translate corporate and Housing priorities into coordinated business plans and measurable improvements.
• Develop and embed governance, assurance, compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Lead readiness for regulatory inspection, evidence, self-assessment and improvement planning.
• Ensure integrated service, financial, workforce and operational planning with the Housing Revenue Account interface.
• Provide clear briefings and decision support to senior leaders, elected members and governance forums.
• Lead transformation and service redesign across organisational boundaries and secure delivery.
• Use data, performance and customer insight to inform priorities and drive improvement.
• Oversee business continuity, resilience, workforce capability and digital enablement.
• Build relationships with Housing, the Council, regulators and partners to influence outcomes.
