Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Regulatory Data Developer to shape reporting systems for regulatory submissions and third‑party reporting. You will migrate legacy SQL Server solutions to GCP, design cloud-native outputs in BigQuery, and ensure accuracy, traceability, and performance.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing validation and monitoring, and delivering scalable data solutions with AI-assisted tooling while maintaining thorough documentation and code quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong Google BigQuery experience.
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD tooling.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control such as Git/GitLab.

Job Description

As a Regulatory Data Developer, you will shape the reporting systems that keep our regulatory data accurate, timely and ready for change.

The Regulatory Data team within Data Engineering builds and maintains near real-time and batch reporting systems that support regulatory submissions and third-party reporting. This role focuses on transforming complex internal data models into regulator-ready outputs, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, traceability and performance.

You will support the migration of legacy SQL Server solutions to GCP, while helping to design and deliver new cloud-native reporting systems in BigQuery. The work spans data modelling, pipeline development, validation and automation, with AI-assisted development also playing a part in improving consistency and reducing manual effort.

Qualifications
  • Strong Google BigQuery experience.
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub or Cloud Composer.
  • Experience of building ETL or ELT data pipelines.
  • Exposure to orchestration tooling for scheduled and dependency-driven workloads.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server in support of legacy systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git and GitLab.
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Interest in AI-assisted development tooling, such as Claude Code.

  • Developing and maintaining regulatory data submission systems across on-premise SQL Server and GCP BigQuery platforms.
  • Building automated pipelines for ingesting, transforming and loading regulatory data.
  • Supporting the migration of legacy reporting solutions to BigQuery through data modelling and technical delivery.
  • Implementing validation checks, monitoring and alerting to protect submission accuracy and reliability.
  • Working with senior colleagues and technical leads to shape efficient cloud-native reporting solutions.

  • Producing and maintaining clear documentation for technical processes and solution designs.
