Principal Consultant / Regulatory Manager - consultancy - REACh registrations

Location: Home-based (UK) | Office in Manchester | Once per month in Manchester

Are you an experienced regulatory professional with in-depth knowledge of UK and EU REACH compliance? Are you ready to take on a senior role in a respected consultancy supporting leading chemical manufacturers worldwide?

Our client, an established EU consultancy, set up their UK base a few years ago. The team has grown to 4, with ongoing projects and recent leadership changes fueling further expansion. They provide tailored regulatory and compliance services across the global chemicals industry. As they expand in the UK, they seek a motivated and experienced Principal Consultant to join their UK subsidiary.

The role involves a broad scope, including managing registrations, IUCLID tasks, and contributing to business growth through sales and marketing activities.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic and technical advice on UK and EU REACH regulations.
• Manage UK REACH services, including registrations, inquiries, and notifications.
• Lead client engagements and foster relationships, using your entrepreneurial mindset to support business growth.
• Contribute to service development, marketing, and sales efforts.
• Deliver internal training, mentor junior staff, and support team expansion.
• Present at industry conferences, webinars, and professional events.

What You Bring:

• A degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Chemistry, Toxicology, Chemical Engineering, or related sciences.
• Over 5 years of regulatory or industry experience in chemical compliance.
• Expertise in UK and EU REACH; experience with Turkey REACH is a plus.
• Proficiency in IUCLID dossier preparation (lead and co-registrant roles) is essential.
• Knowledge of CHESAR, CLP, hazard communication, and related legislation.
• Proven project management skills with a results-driven approach.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting technical content.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in supporting business growth.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
