Yordas Group invites applications for a Regulatory Consultant to support UK REACH, EU REACH, and related chemical management regulations. You will deliver regulatory and technical services to clients, oversee Only Representative contracts for manufacturers outside the regions, and support clients within the UK.

A customer-facing role requires clear communication with colleagues, clients, and authorities. You will work in a team within STAR Regulatory, with potential hybrid/remote arrangements

Qualifications

• University degree in a natural science such as (eco)toxicology, chemistry or environmental sciences.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the UK and EU REACH regulations with direct experience of registration submissions.
• Experience delivering regulatory compliance projects with stakeholders.
• Experience with IUCLID, UK REACH compliance tools, and REACH-IT.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex chemical regulations and communicate clearly to clients.
• Project management of Registration and Notification compliance activities.

Summary

We are looking for a Regulatory Consultant to support our growing portfolio of regulatory services under UK REACH, EU REACH, and similar chemical management regulations. As a member of the regulatory team, you will deliver regulatory and technical services directly to clients to fulfil compliance requirements associated with these regulations. You will oversee and coordinate the Only Representative contracts for manufacturers and formulators based outside of these regions, in addition to supporting clients within these regions as necessary. You will deliver and expand our services in a customer facing role and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, clients, international partners and authorities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory and technical advice and support for clients with regard to UK REACH, EU REACH, and similar chemical management regulations.
• Interpret and understand complex chemical management regulations and in turn communicate these clearly to clients
• Project management of Registration and Notification compliance activities
• Engagement in public consultations and direct interaction with authorities
• Setup and management of Only Representative contracts
• Management and expansion of business in strategic regions
• Close cooperation with colleagues from all departments within the company to deliver multi-disciplinary services
• Implementation of customer-oriented services such as training and webinars

Profile and Qualifications

For a UK Regulatory Consultant position, the candidate is expected to have the following skills and qualifications.

• University degree in a natural science such as (eco)toxicology, chemistry or environmental sciences
• Comprehensive knowledge of the UK and EU REACH regulations and guidance, with direct experience of registration submissions and other associated processes
• Good working knowledge of other chemicals legislation is desirable, e.g. Other REACH-like regulations, CLP, safety data sheets, biocidal products
• Demonstrable experience independently delivering regulatory compliance projects involving internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience with the IUCLID software, the HSE’s Comply with UK REACH platform, and ECHA’s REACH-IT platform
• At least 3 years professional experience in a similar regulatory role
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, customer orientation and business acumen
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English. Additional language skills are desirable
