A leading utilities company is seeking an experienced Regulatory & Compliance Lawyer to join their team in the West Midlands. This role involves managing regulatory relationships, advising on investigations, and ensuring compliance amidst industry changes. Ideal for lawyers from both in-house and private practice backgrounds looking for impact in a strategic legal position. A hybrid working policy is in place, requiring some office presence.
We are working with a household name in the utilities sector in their search for an experienced Regulatory & Compliance Lawyer, OR, Environmental / Health & Safety Lawyer.
On the back of recent groundbreaking & seismic changes relating to the regulation of the industry, the business is looking to add a lawyer experienced and passionate about this area of law to play a key role within the organisation.
Working alongside other senior compliance lawyers, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with the regulatory bodies, as well as horizon scanning & ensuring the organisation stays on the front foot, and well-protected from a regulatory perspective. You will also advise the business on its response to investigations and prosecutions, so the role is a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters.
The role would be suitable for a lawyer already working in-house in a regulated tangible sector, who is seeking a more strategic role with a higher level of impact and influence.
Or, alternatively, if you are currently working in a law firm, then this is a highly supportive legal team with a fantastic track record of creating skilled in house lawyers who have come over from private practice.
The business is operating a hybrid working policy so some office contact is required in the West Midlands office.
