Job Description

Within the engineering division of the UK Operating Centre, you will be responsible for the Regulatory Compliance.

Within a multicultural task force, you will participate in the engineering and design of the projects carried out by Technip Energies UK Operating Centre for the various business lines of the group.

On these projects most often at export, you will be supporting project delivery teams in the interface with teams from other disciplines within TEN (management, project, procurement, construction, safety and environmental) as well as our clients in management of stakeholder engagements and third parties.

As a Regulatory Compliance Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing, maintaining, and implementing UKOC project procedures related to regulatory compliance.
  • Ensuring suitable reporting to project management, client, and stakeholders on and off project.
  • Reviewing project regulatory requirements and informing the project of regulations that have impact in each project phase, supporting to clarify when necessary.
  • Ensuring that documentation of regulatory compliance is robust and available.
  • Establishing and maintaining a permitting register.
  • Establishing and implementing a CE marking strategy, coordination, and support to the project for the applicable European Directives; PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, EMC, LV etc. Adapt the workflow and cascade the requirement to Vendors and Subcontract. Establish and execute contract with Notified Body.
  • For Classification, Flagging and Verification, establishing and executing contracts with third party(ies). Ensuring that all exchanges with third parties are performed in a timely manner and are of the right quality. Ensuring the requirements are cascaded to Vendors/Subcontract if required and final certification is received on time.
  • Supporting Project in Performance Standard coordination.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree and relevant work experience in oil and gas or renewable energy industry.
  • Experience working with third party organizations and government authorities.
  • You enjoy working in multicultural teams and possess qualities of flexibility and openness.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with third party organizations, local authorities, Client, Vendors, Subcontractors and internally with multiple disciplines.
  • Understanding of industrial projects in energy sector.
  • Analytical and organizational mindset.
  • Effectiveness in building and implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Spirit of synthesis and dynamism.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • A willingness to integrate quickly and lead the function within the business.

Previous experience of the following is required, but not considered essential:

  • Establishing and implementing a CE marking strategy.
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable European Directives; PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, EMC, LV etc.
  • Supporting engineers and procurement in conveying requirements to Vendors and Subcontractor.
  • Establishing and execute contracts with Notified Bodies.
  • Knowledge and experience of COMAH (any others).
  • Permitting / consenting requirements in the UK, PLANC management and DCO processes.
