Regulatory Compliance Advisor - Food Industry

Location: Leicestershire - Hybrid 2 days in office

Salary: Up to £47,000 - DOE

The Role:

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Advisor to ensure all products meet legal and regulatory requirements, supporting the company's commitment to quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure legal and policy compliance for branded and private-label products.
2. Support product launches, packaging updates, cost-saving initiatives, and regulatory changes.
3. Assist in implementing a new recipe management system.
4. Ensure packaging and labelling compliance across UK, EU, and export markets.
5. Review and approve artwork and advertising materials for regulatory adherence.
6. Provide expert guidance on product claims, allergen declarations, and ingredient compliance.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product specifications meet company and customer requirements.
8. Manage allergen data and labelling to mitigate risks.
9. Support food safety alerts, product recalls, and factory audits.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Degree in science, food science, or nutrition.
2. Experience with recipe management and private-label specification systems.
3. Strong knowledge of UK & EU food legislation, labelling, allergens, and nutrition claims.
4. Familiarity with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry codes of practice.
5. Understanding of ingredients, processing methods, and food manufacturing operations.
6. Awareness of the broader food industry and competitor products.
