Our background and your main purpose:
We are a young and dynamic beauty company operating primarily in the E-commerce space. Our company is inspired by healthy living. This role is career defining; allowing the right candidate to make their mark, learn while doing and work to propel a trail-blazing, aspirational global beauty brand.
The role:
We are looking for a talented Regulatory and Technical Manager to join our Product team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all new product launches meet global regulatory, safety, and technical requirements from development through to market launch. While not responsible for product formulation, you will lead the coordination, testing and project management of regulatory and technical tasks across the organisation, supporting the Exploration, Development, and Execution phases. Reporting to the Senior NPD Manager, you will be a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong eye for detail and a passion for beauty compliance. You’ll thrive working both independently and collaboratively, with the ability to problem-solve, manage multiple priorities, and ensure timely regulatory readiness for launch.
The role will consist of the following core responsibilities:
Exploration – Collaborate closely with the Product and Category teams to assess early-stage concepts from a regulatory and technical standpoint. Use your expertise and market knowledge to identify compliant, innovative ingredients and product formats that align with market trends and brand objectives, ensuring feasibility from a regulatory and safety perspective.
Development – Provide regulatory and technical guidance to third-party manufacturers during formulation and product development. Partner with the Founder, Head of Planning, Head of Brand, and Senior NPD Manager to review product concepts—ingredients, claims, components, and packaging—for compliance with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU, UK, US). Organise claim testing and ensure marketing communications and product naming meet legal requirements.
Execution – Lead the regulatory and technical aspects of bringing products to market, including reviewing formulations, artwork, and packaging for compliance, managing safety assessments, and compiling documentation (e.g., PIFs, CPSRs, INCI lists). Oversee final regulatory sign-off and ensure all technical requirements are met before handing over to the Fulfilment Team.

You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing hands-on execution with strategic thinking to support both immediate project needs and long-term regulatory planning.
You must have a strong commercial awareness and be customer- and compliance-focused, with a deep understanding of global cosmetic regulations (e.g., EU, UK, US), product safety, claims substantiation, and formulation assessment. A passion for beauty, ingredient trends, and evolving regulatory landscapes is essential, alongside the ability to anticipate regulatory risks and innovate within compliance boundaries. You will be collaborative, adaptable, and confident engaging cross-functionally to ensure products meet the highest technical and legal standards before reaching market.
