Regulatory Affairs Water-Waste Technician

Responsibilities
  1. Support compliance with the site's RCRA and TPDES permits by conducting inspections and providing training.
  2. Ensure proper Waste Characterization for all wastes generated and managed on site.
  3. Maintain DOT training related to hazardous waste manifesting and support the manifesting process.
  4. Provide site support for the implementation of regulatory changes.
  5. Support environmental activities including waste management, environmental reporting, audits, assessments, investigations, inspections by outside agencies, and performance tests.
  6. Provide RCRA training for manufacturing HSE Operators.
  7. Support the implementation of key environmental processes.
  8. Prepare and submit routine reports to local and corporate management regarding environmental metrics.
  9. Collaborate with other environmental resources within the company to benchmark and identify best practices.
  10. Prepare Discharge Monitoring Reports (TPDES and MSGP) for submission.
  11. Collect data and prepare Tyler Groundwater quarterly reports for submission.
  12. Support groundwater compliance activities, including well testing, closure, and plugging activities.
Qualifications
  1. Five years of experience in an environmental role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Associate's degree in a science, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  3. Knowledge of basic environmental regulations.
  4. Ability to implement and execute established plans and procedures in a timely manner.
  5. Basic computer skills including database use, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation preparation.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to simplify complex material or situations.
  8. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities quickly and effectively.
  9. Good organizational skills and practical problem-solving abilities related to environmental issues.
  10. Negotiating skills.
