Job summary

Smart4 Sciences is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to drive UK and international product compliance from concept through launch. You will provide regulatory guidance, classify products under CLP and GHS, and author/maintain Safety Data Sheets.

You will work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Commercial teams to ensure regulatory information is accurate across labels, SDSs and technical documentation, while monitoring changing rules and delivering timely compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in Regulatory Affairs in chemicals or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of CLP/GHS and UK regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing and maintaining Safety Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for a diverse product portfolio.
• Classify products in accordance with CLP, GHS and UK requirements.
• Assess formulation changes and determine regulatory impact.
• Review supplier documentation and evaluate compliance implications.
• Approve product labels, packaging artwork and regulatory claims.
• Manage PCN and UFI submissions.
• Ensure regulatory information remains consistent across labels, SDSs and technical documents.
• Support internal teams with regulatory advice and compliance guidance.
• Monitor emerging legislation and communicate potential business impacts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and regulatory best practice.
