Job summary

Alliance Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a proactive Regulatory Affairs Associate to support the VMS/Food Supplements portfolio and broader cosmetics/medical devices regulatory work. The role is a 9-month maternity cover based in Chippenham with a hybrid pattern (2 days onsite).

You will collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain to maintain compliance, prepare dossiers, and drive successful product launches across international markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Experience in Regulatory Affairs for VMS/Food Supplements.
• Knowledge of UK/EU food supplement legislation, product compliance, claims and labelling requirements.
• Experience preparing, reviewing and maintaining regulatory documentation and product dossiers.
• Familiarity with regulatory databases and product notification requirements.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), SOPs, audits and CAPAs.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

At Alliance, we're a fast-growing, science-led consumer healthcare business focused Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS) and Skincare. We're looking for an Interim Regulatory Affairs Associate you'll support the maintenance and development of our EMEA food supplement portfolio while also providing regulatory support across skincare, cosmetics and medical device categories.

We're particularly interested in candidates with a strong VMS/Food Supplements regulatory background, with skincare or cosmetics experience considered a distinct advantage.

Working closely with colleagues across Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance while supporting the successful delivery of new products across our growing portfolio.

What you'll be doing

• Support the implementation of regulatory strategies to ensure compliance and support commercial objectives.
• Provide regulatory support for innovation and new product development projects, helping to achieve successful product launches.
• Prepare, maintain and review regulatory documentation, ensuring submissions to relevant regulatory databases are completed in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Support the maintenance of the EMEA food supplement portfolio and provide regulatory support for cosmetic and medical device products, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Contribute to departmental Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including SOP management, audits, CAPAs and compliance initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate potential impacts to the business.
• Attend cross-functional meetings and provide regulatory input to support business and project objectives.
• Provide technical and regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Regulatory Affairs team to deliver strategic priorities and key projects.
• Support responses to stakeholder consultations and industry discussions where appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations through continuous learning and professional development.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient regulatory operations.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative regulatory professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively balance compliance requirements with business needs.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree (BSc/MSc) in Life Sciences, Food Science, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience within a Regulatory Affairs role in the Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS)/Food Supplements sector.
• Knowledge of UK and EU food supplement legislation, product compliance, claims and labelling requirements.
• Experience preparing, reviewing and maintaining regulatory documentation and product dossiers.
• Familiarity with regulatory databases and product notification requirements.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), SOPs, audits and CAPAs.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience supporting skincare, cosmetics or wider consumer healthcare portfolios.
• Knowledge of UK and EU cosmetic regulations.
• Exposure to medical device regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting new product launches in international markets.
