About your new role

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not on the list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route

The Regulatory Department is one of the largest in the country and is recognised by clients and other lawyers as being one of the best. We advise clients across all sectors including health, public sector, corporations, and individuals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Regulatory NMC team. This team will be at the forefront of developing our practice areas, bringing our expertise to new clients with a view to expanding our work for professional regulators.

As an Administration Assistant, you will work as part of a team, assisting with all aspects of administration as per instructions from Fee Earners and the team.

Main duties and responsibilities
  1. General file maintenance
  2. Opening new client files
  3. Closing files and archiving
  4. Carrying out general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, shredding, key dating
  5. Reports and billing
  6. Gathering and collating management information
  7. Document and correspondence management
  8. Diary management for Fee Earners
  9. Management of expenses system
  10. Processing office and client account payment requests
  11. Carrying out any other tasks that fall within the role or wider team responsibilities

This list is not exhaustive; you will be expected to perform other duties within the wider remit of the role.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role and environment. As the role is varied, we look for flexibility and adaptability. We also seek:

  • Experience in a busy legal/office environment (desirable)
  • A Law Degree or LPC (or studying towards) (desirable)
  • Team player
  • Ability to show initiative and be self-motivated
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good housekeeping skills
  • A proactive, 'hands-on' approach to work
  • Knowledge of computers and office equipment
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and producing MI reports
  • A 'will try anything' approach
