Job Description:

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has established the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to oversee changes to the safety and performance of all buildings and to raise industry professional standards year on year. BSR will serve as a lasting tribute to those who have lost their lives due to poor and substandard buildings and will help ensure tragedies like Grenfell are consigned to the past. We are increasing our team and creating opportunities for both technical specialists and non-specialists.

You will support investigations, enforcement, sanctions, and audits of the newly regulated building control profession. This includes Registered Building Inspectors, Local Authorities, and Private Sector Building Control functions. You will assist in delivering inspections and investigations to ensure competence within your portfolio. You will help monitor and manage the performance of current cases, escalating risks and issues to the Audit or Investigation Manager. Additionally, you will assist in administering the sanctions process, creating disciplinary orders, leading responses to inquiries and concerns, and working effectively as part of a team.
