Job summary

Southampton City Council seeks a Team Standards Co-ordinator to maintain high standards and robust compliance across regulated homes and post-16 accommodation for children and young people. You will coordinate compliance processes, manage performance data, and support safer recruitment and inspection readiness.

You will work to ensure services remain compliant, audit-ready and continuously improved, delivering safe, high-quality homes and support for young people in our care.

Qualifications

• Significant administrative experience within a regulated environment is essential.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate record keeping and audit trails.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience maintaining databases, tracking systems and producing reports.
• Ability to analyse information and identify risks or improvements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals, placements and associated documentation.
• Monitor DBS checks, safer recruitment and key service deadlines.
• Organise panels, audits, meetings and QA activities.
• Maintain performance dashboards, trackers and MI.
• Produce reports and analyse data to identify trends and risks.
• Support financial administration, purchase orders and expenditure.
• Assist managers with inspection readiness and evidence gathering.
• Serve as central point of contact for colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement across the service.
