Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Software Engineer III for the Asset Management Global Regulatory Reporting Technology team to design, build, and support cloud-native applications on Mercury, supporting regulatory obligations across jurisdictions and assets.

You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and compliance specialists to modernize the reporting ecosystem, improve efficiency, and responsibly adopt AI and automation in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied development experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building modern web applications using React/TypeScript or similar frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of software design, architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.
• Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and agile development methodologies.
• Experience using engineering productivity and AI-assisted development tools within the lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services on AWS.
• Develop modern user experiences and dashboards using React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to the software delivery lifecycle including testing and production support.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery and documentation.
• Develop intelligent automation capabilities to improve efficiency and control.
• Evaluate and adopt AI technologies to evolve the regulatory reporting platform.
• Design and optimize data quality controls for regulatory reporting accuracy.
• Build observable, secure systems for a regulated environment.
