Overview

Registration Officer
Part time - 2 days per week
Grade 6 - £28,598 - £31,022 pro rata
Office based

Responsibilities
  • Register marriages and civil partnerships, officiate ceremonies, and provide non-statutory services including naming and renewal of vows.
  • Register births and deaths, take notices of marriage/civil partnership, and perform other functions commensurate with the role.
  • Work from two locations within the borough (Dudley Register Office at Priory Hall and Stourbridge Registration Office at Thomas Robinson Building) and attend ceremonies at approved premises and registered buildings; participate in birth registration service at Family Hubs as required.
  • Attend ceremonies on Sundays and Bank Holidays when required; may be asked to work additional hours mid-week to meet service needs.
Location

Locations across the borough, including Dudley and Stourbridge, with attendance at approved premises and registered buildings within the Borough.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous registration experience.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • Excellent customer care skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible team player able to adapt to different tasks and work at short notice in a busy environment.
