An established industry player in the fine art world is seeking a dedicated Registrar and Project Manager to oversee the management and transportation of valuable artworks. This role is pivotal, requiring a keen interest in post-war and contemporary art, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. As part of a small team, you will take ownership of various responsibilities, including inventory management, liaising with shippers, and ensuring the safety of artworks. Lindon & Co. is a private fine art dealership and advisory business in London with a focus on American Post-War and Contemporary masterworks. It is led by James Lindon & Alicia Norman-Butler.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the transportation, handling, installation, and management of artworks under the company’s purview. The candidate will be responsible for collection record keeping, condition reporting, inventory and general care of objects as well as assisting the directors in the preparation of offers, artwork research, preparing for art fairs, organisation of travel, office management and being the project manager for any presentation of small shows that are put on in the viewing room/gallery space. We are a very small team of two directors and a consultant and so are looking for someone to really own this role.
