Registrar in Critical Care with an interest in Ultrasound Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

This is a 6-month post (potentially extendable to 12 months) based at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH). BNHH has 18 critical care beds and manages over 1000 critical care admissions annually, including complex surgical and cardiology patients. The role involves a formal job plan with clinical duties typical of a UK Critical Care Registrar.

The department has ultrasound equipment, including 3 cart-based machines and 2 handheld devices, with protected time for ultrasound skill development. The post offers training in FUSIC modules: Heart, Lung, Abdomen, Vascular, DVT, and Haemodynamics.

Work includes a rota with evenings, weekends, and nights, supported by on-site anesthetically trained doctors and remote consultant support, adhering to the European Working Time Directive (average 48 hours/week).
