Job summary

This lovely practice in the Stevenage area is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly, supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The clinic operates a four-day week with shifts of 9.5 hours, and a one-in-six weekend rota. You will perform daily nurse consultations, assist with at least two surgical procedures on most days, and support reception and administrative duties within a close-knit team.

Job description

This lovely practice in the Stevenage area is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly, supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The practice has a busy and varied caseload, with a team comprising three Veterinary Surgeons, two RVNs and three Student Veterinary Nurses. Open Monday to Saturday, the practice handles a broad range of cases, including routine procedures, dental work, lump removals and heart scans, offering plenty of variety throughout the working week.

The clinic is well equipped with in-house X-ray, biochemistry and hematology facilities, supporting the team in delivering high standards of patient care. The successful candidate will undertake daily nurse consultations and assist with at least two surgical procedures on most days. The position also involves contributing across the wider practice, including clinical nursing, reception cover and some administrative responsibilities.

Working hours are organised around a four-day week, with shifts lasting 9.5 hours. The role also includes participation in a one-in-six weekend rota, alternating between early shifts from 7:40am to 5:10pm and late shifts from 11am to 8:30pm.
