Job summary

Purovets in South Shields is inviting a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly team within a recently refurbished small animal practice. The role spans across two branches, South Shields and Boldon, with a 4‑day week, no out-of-hours, and a rotating Saturday morning pattern.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently refurbished small animal practice in South Shields and Boldon. The new facilities allow for an expansive range of clinical care including digital radiography, ultrasonography, dental radiography, in-house laboratory, dedicated nurse consulting rooms, and laparoscopic surgery.

You’ll be joining a genuinely friendly and supportive team of 4 Vets and 6 RVNs who work collaboratively, support one another, and treat every patient as if they were their own. Since opening in 2004, they have been a core part of the community and would love an RVN to join them.

What we’re looking for:

• An RVN who combines strong clinical skills with a genuine passion for patient care.

The Rota

• Based across their South Shields and Boldon branches on a rotational basis
• 40 hours per week over 4 days between 8:30am and 7:30pm
• Part-time applications considered for the right candidate
• No OOH responsibilities
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am – 3:00pm)
