Join a dynamic veterinary team in Margate as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. This role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth, ensuring a healthy work-life balance and competitive compensation. Contribute to exceptional pet care in a well-equipped practice with a commitment to continuous learning.
Are you an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a dynamic and supportive team? At Thanet Vets, we're seeking a passionate individual to join our nursing team. As an RVN with us, you'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of general nursing tasks including laboratory sampling, anaesthetics, radiography, and assisting veterinary surgeons.
About us
Thanet Vets has been a cornerstone of the Southeast coast community for over 60 years, providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. Our main branch in Margate, along with our satellite consulting branch in Birchington, offers a range of services including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy. We're proud to be a well-equipped practice dedicated to delivering high-quality care to our patients. Beyond our professional duties, we value team camaraderie and socialise outside of work, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture.
We are a modern, well equipped practice supporting 6 vets, RVN's and 1 student and a reception team. With certificate holders in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and ongoing pursuit of further qualifications in diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology, our team is committed to excellence and continuous learning. We're looking for individuals who share our values of enthusiasm, kindness, and teamwork, with excellent communication skills to contribute to our positive work environment.
Here are a couple of testimonials from our team, sharing their experiences of working at Thanet Vets:
“I’ve started working for Thanet Vets in August 2023 after a longer break from Veterinary Nursing.
I was made very welcomed and felt part of the team straight away.
Everybody was and is very supportive when any questions arise.
We often arrange to meet outside of work for a long lunch to recharge the batteries and just simply to put the world to rights.”
- Julia Voigt, RVN
“I joined the practice in November 2023 to complete the final part of my veterinary nursing degree, and I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive team. From the very beginning, I felt like part of the family. I’ve learned so much, grown in confidence, and even adopted my cat Millie-who came to us as a stray and instantly stole my heart. Becoming a registered veterinary nurse here has been such a rewarding journey, both professionally and personally.”
- Ciara, RVN
Working hours
You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rotational 5-week schedule that includes 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. With no out-of-hours responsibilities, you can focus on providing exceptional care during your shifts, knowing that Vets Now is there to support when your off!
