We are looking for an experienced full-time RVN to join our team at the Lydney site. The role includes a mixture of theatre care and consulting.
Rota patterns that work for you
Our people are at the heart of everything we do, which is why work-life balance is vital. We offer flexible rota patterns and working hours that adapt to your lifestyle, regardless of your career stage. Ideally, we're looking for someone to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week), but part-time applications are welcome. The role involves 1:7 Saturday mornings, and we can tailor the rota around your personal circumstances.
A bit about us
Across our 3 sites, we have a well-established, supportive, and friendly team. We value first opinion veterinary practice and the role each team member plays. You would work alongside our experienced team, including a Senior Veterinary Nurse, two Veterinary Surgeons, a Student Veterinary Nurse apprentice, 2 RVNs, and our reception team. All sites work closely together, providing full support from the wider team. We are passionate about clinical development and staff involvement in decision-making, with full practice meetings and clinical club meetings every 2 months during working hours. We encourage new ideas to improve our practice.
Our team members are supported to develop their interests. For example, our Veterinary Care Assistant is now a Student Vet Nurse apprentice, and RVNs have opportunities to develop skills such as dental radiography, dental scaling, and wound suturing. Some vets are undertaking certificates, with several already qualified.
While you will work with experienced vets, there will be days when you are the only RVN on site, so confidence in all aspects of veterinary nursing is essential. This role may not suit a newly qualified RVN.
